I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love to invite you to join me there!
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like:
sharing gems from other writers
new work-in-progress
bits of inspiration (especially from artists I know and love)
questions (perhaps offering questions to ponder, asking you questions about topics, or answering questions from you)
the occasional photo
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app if you use Substack on your phone. As a subscriber to The New Story, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where readers of The New Story can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
Why Substack Notes
I’m intrigued by this new space. It feels quiet, Zen, and uplifting. No ads, no pressure, and so far, no word-bombs back and forth.
I really love Substack and the way they’ve built a sane ecosystem that supports and empowers writers and readers. It’s designed for cooperation instead of competition and feels genuinely conversational.
I’m always looking for ways to bend cold online boxes into warm circles of actual human connection. I’m curious what’s possible here in Notes and would love to explore this new space with you. I don’t yet know how much use I’ll give it, but if you’re there that’s inspiring. Feel free to drop me a note and say hi.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
