So interesting, isn’t it, Pauline? The difference in how body hair is perceived for men and women.

One of the main perspectives on this is that we live in a culture where men see pre-pubescent bodies and body characteristics as attractive. Also, there is the force of marketing and how Gillette created an entire industry by convincing women they too should shave. Here’s an interesting article on all of that: https://www.brandeis.edu/writing-program/write-now/2021-2022/azevedo-ligia/index.html

But what thrills me here is hearing how you feel the sensations of freedom as you read my little story. Yay!! Let’s keep celebrating the feeling of freedom and go wherever it takes us! 💗

I am with you on the no shaving thing! I haven't shaved my legs or underarms in over 10 years. (Funny thing, I'm with you on the plucking chin hairs lol). It is so freeing and saves a lot of time and money. Thanks for sharing your journey

I love your story about your body hair!!! Reading it makes me feel liberatingly relaxed, happy and with a revolutionary sparkle in my stomach!

It is so interesting that when mens legs are hairy, like ''a furry human animal'', it is considered sexy and when women have hairy legs, like ''a furry human animal'', it is considered unsexy!

Just the subject line alone gives me LIFE! You inspire me to live and authentic life. Also, my daughter's friends have been teasing her about her "mustache" so we've been discussing body hair at home. I have lived with and without hair and like both for different reasons. I want her to be free to be exactly as she is. I am low key obsessed with the fuzz on her back, I think it's perfection.
