I vividly remember visiting EE's home around 2003-2004 when she hosted a presentation by a mutual friend after a trip to Nepal. I "basked" in her hospitality and presence, to use a favorite Kai word. I also resonate with her poem about finding, in the end, that kindness has the final word.
